Posted on Google Joshua DuganTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Garrett, Levi, and Brock took excellent care of our fireplace and chimney! We have an old home and the chimney needed repairs. There was also a gas fireplace installed but we wanted to change it back to wood burning. These three guys were punctual, nice, efficient, and skilled! They walked us through everything before leaving and even started a fire for us. I’d highly recommend them and will definitely be using this company in the futurePosted on Google Charles DossTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great company & I 100% recommend to hire them. The lead tech Garrett was knowledgeable, professional & went above and beyond cleaning up their mess. The help Payton was also professional & did a great job. This is the only fireplace company I will call from now on. There's no need to call another.Posted on Google Lacy HagelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had the pleasure of working with Austin, Chris, and Mohammed. Let me tell you these guys are good! Austin came out first to clean and inspect. He took the time to explain to myself, and then my husband when he got home, everything he did and the issues we had with the chimney. He had pictures and explained everything so that we could understand. Next Chris and Mohammed came out to do the repairs on the chimney. They did a great job! My husband and I had to work that day so my parents stayed at the house to let them in. Got a call from my dad that the “fireplace guys are awesome!” They felt like old friends and took the time to talk with and explain to my parents what was happening every step of the way. They were professional, but also felt like a part of the family. My parents even bought them lunch because they were so appreciate of their hard-work. By the time we got home, even though they had been working all day, they took the time to explain to us everything they had already explained to my parents. Due to no fault of their own Chris and Mohammed came back out a week later to install a new gas log insert. Again they did impressive work and felt like old friends! They hooked us up with a beautiful and warm fire we now enjoy every single day. Their professionalism, workmanship, expertise, and just all around great personalities would earn them 10 stars if possible. Because of these guys we are now lifelong Sure Glow customers!! We absolutely love our new fireplace and gas burning fire, I am sitting in front of it as I type this message. Thank you to the best team!!Posted on Google Phil HutchensTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Chris was Very professional, courteous and knowledgeable.

Frequently Asked Questions About Chimney Cleaning
How often should I clean my chimney?
It is recommended by SureGlow Stove & Chimney and the National Fire Protection Association to have your chimney professionally cleaned, swept, and maintained at least once a year. Whether you use your fireplace on a consistent basis, or only a couple times a year, you should still have your chimney cleaned by our team once per year.
What time of year should I clean my chimney?
Any time of year is a good time to have your chimney cleaned, but the experts at SureGlow Stove & Chimney suggest having your chimney cleaned and swept in the spring and summer as you will likely have more choices available when scheduling. Most homeowners have their chimneys cleaned and swept in the fall or winter around the time they use it often.
Can I clean my chimney myself?
It is generally recommended to have SureGlow Stove & Chimney professionals clean your chimney, rather than attempting to clean it yourself. There are many, many serious safety hazards presented when cleaning a chimney, and our pros are expertly trained with the correct tools, skills, and expertise needed to clean and sweep your chimney.
Signs Your Chimney May Need Professional Chimney Cleaning and Sweeping Services From SureGlow Stove & Chimney
While it is recommended that you have your chimney professionally cleaned at least once a year, there are also signs you can look for that indicate a need for additional cleanings. While some signs are warnings that should be heeded, others will need to be dealt with immediately. In either scenario, you should have your chimney tended to before attempting to use it again:
Animals and Pests
It’s also very possible, especially if your chimney cap was not installed properly or you don’t regularly light fires in your firebox, that animals find their way inside and build their homes. Birds, squirrels, other rodents, raccoons, etc., are all excellent climbers (or flyers), and if your chimney has any space to squeeze into, it could be the perfect spot to keep warm in the winter.
Similarly, depending on the state of your chimney (in terms of overall maintenance, amount of debris/clogged material, etc.), critters can get stuck and meet their demise — a less-than-ideal scenario for any household.
Fires
It’s important to be aware of the overall potential for chimney fires. Creosote might be the main culprit in causing chimney fires, but it is certainly not the only one. There are many different reasons a chimney might catch fire, and all of them are a direct result of a dirty chimney.
Creosote Buildup
Have you ever looked at the inside of your fireplace and wondered what that hardened, oily-looking, soot-like material is? It’s called creosote, and it’s a byproduct of wood combustion. It is also highly combustible and the leading cause of chimney fires.
While there are precautions you can take (such as only burning dry, seasoned wood and/or investing in a chimney thermometer to ensure your fires are burning as hot as possible), ultimately, the only way you can be absolutely sure that your chimney is clear and as safe as possible is having a professional chimney sweeping performed every year.
Debris
Because you can’t see the entire chimney system when you’re snuggled up in front of the fire, you might not be thinking about the part that comes out of your roof and is exposed to the elements. Your chimney should have a cap in place to prevent debris (like leaves, twigs, and anything else) from entering your chimney and disrupting your system’s performance and safety.
